Global Design Manager
AkzoNobel understands the importance of effective, creative and coherent brand communications. That’s why our distinctive and colorful corporate brand identity has won a number of global design awards in recent years. This vacancy therefore offers a unique opportunity for an experienced and inspirational design director to maintain and enhance the public face of a dynamic global company within a stimulating and demanding communications environment.
Your core responsibility in this role will be to align the corporate brand identity with the company strategy, while keeping it globally consistent, fresh and relevant. This will involve managing all touch points and diverse projects as you guide a wide variety of internal and external PR, design and communications professionals. You will be responsible for managing products from initial concept phase, artwork, and release, while ensuring that levels of quality, sustainability and innovation are maintained. The position has two direct reports based in the same office, a Senior Graphic Designer and a Brand Center Manager.
Applicants should have an excellent portfolio, proficiency in all relevant computer/design programs and production functions, along with a proven understanding of the role of design within a corporation, particularly at a global level.
