Eco-premium

 

Eco-premium solutions is the AkzoNobel metric to measure the progress towards developing more sustainable customer solutions.
A product qualifying for the AkzoNobel Eco-premium solutions must
provide the same or better functionality for the customers application compared to mainstream products.

Additionally, when assessed along the full value chain it needs to be significantly better in at least one of the following criteria.
It is also mandatory that there is no significant measurable or perceived adverse effects in any other of them:

• Energy efficiency (consumption)

• Use of natural resources/raw material

• Emissions and waste

• Toxicity

• Risks for accidents during e.g. production, transportation

• Land use if applicable
