Concentrated operations and a flexible organization
Expancel is a unit within AkzoNobel. All our main activities are concentrated at Stockviksverken in Sundsvall, about 400 km north of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Here you find our headquarters, and the departments of R&D, production, marketing and technical business development.
Thanks to the concentration of all our important functions in one place and a flat and flexible organization Expancel is able to move fast to respond to new customer demands.
Expancel microspheres are marketed all over the world.
To cover the markets in North and South America in an efficient way Expancel has established a subsidiary company in Duluth, Georgia. This unit has expansion units of its own to be able to serve its customers effectively.
We have sales offices in Germany, Poland, Benelux, Russia, Italy, China and Brazil.
A network of agents and distributors is also established which enables us to cover the demand for expandable microspheres wherever it exists.
