Printing inks

 

Expancel expandable microspheres can be used in printing ink to produce three-dimensional prints on e.g. textiles, wallpaper, polyester film and more. It can also be used to create a mat, smooth surface, a velvet look or other surface effects. The three-dimensional effect is achieved by heating the print to a temperature at which the microspheres expand and the ink is dried and cured.

Expancel can be used in PVC-plastisols, water borne and solvent borne formulations. Common printing techniques are gravure and screen printing.
