Hides and skins with defects caused by scars, thorn marks, insects, etc, can be upgraded by using a stucco compound with good filling capacity. Expanded versions of Expancel microspheres have shown an outstanding filling capacity when used as filler in the stucco. Stucco's with Expancel microspheres are characterized by:

• Good filling capacity
• Low shrinkage
• Good buffing properties
• Good flexibility

• Soft touch feeling

Expancel microspheres can also be incorporated in base coats, normally applied by spraying or roller coating, where it is used for its outstanding filling capacity and low shrinkage.

Unexpanded Expancel microspheres can be used for filling the loose flanks of hides and skins, and thus increase the yield.
