Storage and Handling

 

When developing or updating your procedures and safety documentation or training new personnel, we suggest that you consider the following items to ensure safe storage and handling of metalorganics and safe methods of fire control:

• Always conform to local, regional and/or national regulations (UN, OSHA, NFPA, UFC, etc.) 

• Dedicated storage room/building
  • restricted access to authorized personnel only
  • keep metalorganics away from oxidizers, flammable or combustile materials and reactive materials such as water, alcohols and acids 

• Provisions for fire fighting/suppression

• Storage in original packing

• Unpacked cylinders inside dedicated flammables cabinets

• Climate control

• Inventory management
