Product Stewardship
We actively support the guiding principles of the International Chamber of Commerce's "Business Charter for Sustainable Development" and the Responsible Care® program developed by the chemical industry.
Protection for human and animal heatlh and the environment is an integral part of the way we do business. A key aspect of this is the "cradle-to-cradle" management of all products to ensure minimum impact on health, safety and the environment, a process known as Product Stewardship.
Product Stewardship Management System
We seeks to extend our concern for health, safety and the environment to our suppliers and customers through a Product Stewardship Management System. This system improves Product Stewardship performance by:
- Assessing hazards and related risks
- Setting auditable objectives and goals
- Defining authorities, responsibilities and behaviors
- Providing a high level of competence and knowledge
- Making continuous improvements on the basis of audits, identified corrective and preventive actions, learning from incidents and performance data
- Tracking emerging scientific knowledge and regulation
To help us achieve the goals of our Product Stewardship initiative, we will also prepare informative product summaries of our products organized by chemical or functional category.
