AkzoNobel Industrial Chemicals will build the plant at (or close to) your site, supplying chlorine safety via pipeline, and if needed caustic and hydrogen. AkzoNobel Industrial Chemicals is fully responsible for the operation of the chlorine plant, including all inputs and outputs. There is no need for the customer to get involved in either the sourcing of salt or in the handling of the by-products such as caustic soda and hydrogen. AkzoNobel takes care of that.
The investment needed will depend on the local situation and requirements. In this respect think about the availability of land and electricity, the choices when it comes to chlorine liquefaction and caustic evaporation, the hydrogen use etcetera.
While AkzoNobel takes responsibility for the smooth and reliable supply of chlorine at the client's site, client staff still needs to be thoroughly brought up to date with the health and safty aspects of the production. You can rely on us to ensure your staff is thoroughly and regularly trained.
