Showing that sustainability matters
Sustainability is starting to dominate many areas of our business agenda. It’s helping to make AkzoNobel a place where entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking and a clear focus on our customers’ needs are part of our everyday culture.
More than 400 employees recently took part in three events organized by Your AkzoNobel. The events focused on key sustainability challenges such as energy efficiency and climate change. And they led to some inspiring results.
For example, the Executive Leadership Forum provided 60 senior executives with sustainability training. At the same event, 85 top managers from our Car Refinishes business successfully reviewed their sustainability process.
Sustainability was also on the agenda at our Take Time for Technology conference, attended by 150 technology and manufacturing managers. R&D managers discussed how to integrate eco-efficiency into their processes, while senior marketeers learned how to include eco-efficiency analysis in their work.
These aren’t just one-offs. We’ll carry on with similar initiatives to make sure sustainability stays front of mind for everyone at AkzoNobel.
