Chenab Bridge Gets High-Performance Protection

International Paint has been chosen to supply high-performance coating systems for the Chenab Bridge in India, the world’s highest arch bridge. International will supply products including patented Interfine® acrylic polysiloxane range, which offers unbeatable corrosion protection and long-lasting colour and gloss retention.
The bridge, due to be completed in 2013 will be part of a new railway line being developed by Indian Railways that will link the Kashmir region with the rest of India. The bridge will span the Chenab River between Bakkal and Kauri, and measuring 359 meters (1,178 ft) above the river bed will will be the highest arch bridge in the world.
