AkzoNobel has a successful track record working with external partners in business, academia, and the public sector to meet specific needs and to overcome technological challenges when we do not have the appropriate know-how in-house. Often, we’ve worked with complementary technology providers, or with our customers and our suppliers; sometimes we’ve worked in consortia with our competitors to tackle common challenges, including for example, developing more sustainable products and solutions. Over the last few years, outside partners have helped us to overcome internal knowledge gaps, assisting on the development of all kinds of products and processes. For example:
