As one of the world’s largest suppliers of coatings for beer and beverage cans, AkzoNobel is constantly looking to improve its product offerings. Beverage cans are protected from damage during shipping by an external varnish, and one of the essential components in the varnish is wax. We’ve worked closely with our external suppliers to identify specific wax types that enable us to produce varnishes that offer a crystal clear, high gloss finish while also affording excellent scuff resistance at lower film weights. And, in cooperation with our suppliers, we’ve also succeeded in significantly reducing the environmental footprint.
