Faisal Akhtar
General Manager, Chemicals Business
Appointed General Manager Chemicals Business in April 2011, Faisal Akhtar has a long history of over 20 years with ICI Pakistan during which he has held many diverse roles in the company’s various businesses.
Prior to his current assignment he was Business Manager for the Polyester Business, and already has eight years of extensive experience with the Chemicals Business, putting him in the unique position of knowing the business.
Faisal, who graduated from University of Karachi with a Masters Degree in Chemistry, began his career with ICI in 1990 and has since held various technical and commercial roles in businesses such as Life Sciences, Chemicals and Pakistan PTA Limited (now known as Lotte Pakistan PTA, formerly a part of ICI Pakistan Limited).
