Syed Iqbal Haider

Iqbal has been with the Company for around 30 years. After graduating in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mech) from NED University Karachi, Iqbal joined ICI Pakistan as Management Trainee in June 1981, appointed Planning Manager Soda Ash in 1983. Following that, he has had various roles in Plant Maintenance, Maintenance Planning and Operational & HSE Management in Soda Ash, Polyester, PPTA, Chemicals and Paints Business.
 
He was appointed Corporate Safety & Environment Manager in 1999 and then worked as Engineering Manager, Polyester Plant from 2001-2005 and moved to Corporate Function as Corporate Technical & Engineering Manager in 2006. In this role he was the Project Manager for our major capital investment projects in Soda Ash and PowerGen between 2006-2009.
 
In April 2010 Iqbal took over the position of Group Technical Manager and elevated to the role of General Manager Technical in April 2011. In this role, he has the company-wide functional responsibility for the Corporate Governance, HSE&S & Sustainability Improvement and Projects Development & Execution across the company
