Jinnah Park
Transforming the environment
Jinnah Park, in the heart of Pind Dadan Khan City at Mohallah Kot Kalan, was created to provide healthy recreation opportunities for the people of the community. The area was sorely lacking a community park, and the land on which the park is now built was previously an open plot with no utility.
We initiated the project in 2007 under our CSR program at the request of Tehsil Nazim, Pind Dadan Khan, and completed it in a short span of nine months on June 30, 2008 at a cost of almost Rs. 8 million.
This included drainage of a deep sewage pond that posed health hazards, earth filling, the plantation of 200 trees, the laying of grass over an area of 106,250 square feet and construction of grilled boundary walls, walkways and exclusive drain water channels, all of which helped convert the area into a beautiful park.
On January 26, 2009, we handed over the newly constructed park to the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), confident that Jinnah Park will provide a healthy and much-needed recreational environment to the community. Through our CSR program, we have been able to contribute to the development of Pind Dadan Khan in several ways, with special emphasis on the education and health sectors; Jinnah Park has been one of these initiatives.
