LRBT Eye Clinic Program
Creating a clear vision of tomorrow
With the assistance of the Layton Rehmatullah Benevolent Trust (LRBT) doctors, we have been conducting the Eye Clinic Program since 1991 at the company-owned Winnington Hospital located at the Soda Ash Plant at Khewra. The program consists of a two-day monthly clinic that is open to the public. The clinic performs OPD consultations as well as major and minor surgeries and refractions all absolutely free of cost.
Over the years, the program has been strengthened and expanded to appropriately respond to the increasing need for eye care services. Till end of December, 2008 a total of 10,823 major and minor surgeries have been performed and in addition to this a staggering 104,012 OPD patients have been treated. All the patients that we treat for cataracts through this program have been provided with free Intra Ocular Lenses (IOL).
