Winnington Hospital

Initially established to ensure that all the medical needs of our staff were adequately met with and provided for, the Winnington Hospital was founded on our ICI Estate within the Soda Ash Plant in Khewra.

However we discovered we could make dual use of the hospital and help people from the community as well with only a little extra effort on our part. Therefore, we set up a free weekly Out-Patient Department facility, which has proven to be highly successful. On average 300 patients are examined and treated every month. Underprivileged patients from the area are treated free and we provide them with free medications as well. An important feature of our hospital is its Operation Theatre, and we also hold regular medical camps in association with local NGO’s. Furthermore, we patronize the TB Association of Tehsil Pind Dadan Khan and actively participate in all the immunization campaigns launched by the government. Regular immunization against all infectious diseases is also conducted for the local community children and plans are in place to establish a proper snake and dog bite centre in the future.
