We are constantly working to address our customers' future needs. We look ahead and help our customers find sustainable answers to questions that they will face tomorrow.
Developing innovative new products and technologies for our customers is a key part of our operations. Our researchers are based in dedicated customer-facing business teams. They perform research, product and process development and technical support in order to translate market needs into new products.
Close partnerships
Much of our success is due to our philosophy of creating close partnerships with our customers. What do they want to achieve? From optimizing applications, improving efficiencies, resolving difficulties or even designing new processes, we're happy to meet with you to discuss your requirements.
Safety research
At AkzoNobel, we always place safety as our top priority. We are recognized as a global leader in organic peroxide and metalorganic safety. Our state-of-the-art Safety Research Laboratory in Deventer, the Netherlands, is heavily involved in Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I), ensuring the development of safe products and processes. Deventer also is the site of our main RD&I activities.
It's more than words
As a company of innovation we have a stream of new, high-value products and technologies. For instance our Nouryact® range of low-Cobalt and Cobalt-free thermoset accelerators. Our Cobalt-free accelerators are based on Copper, Manganese and Iron and can be used as more sustainable alternatives for conventional Cobalt octoate and Cobalt acetate accelerators. Our low-Cobalt accelerators are based on Cobalt/Copper metal complexes and will significantly reduce the Cobalt level in your curing system.
Not to forget our highest purity diethylzinc. Marketed under the name DEZn TCO we have a product grade specifically developed to serve the needs of the solar cell industry. DEZn TCO is our contribution to solar energy, for the benefit of our planet.
Continuous initiator Dosing
But innovation does not stop with our chemicals. For example, our Continuous initiator Dosing (CiD) technology which significantly increases reactor output in manufacturing S-PVC. It's an important process improvement because not only does it help the PVC production process become much safer, it also makes S-PVC resin less expensive, while helping to produce a better quality end product.
At AkzoNobel we look beyond horizons. We believe that what is good for you today is not necessarily good enough for you tomorrow. That's why our employees are committed to excellence and delivering Tomorrow's Answers Today.
