Zinc Alkyls
AkzoNobel pioneered the large-scale production of diethylzinc (DEZ) and has been producing commercial quantities since the 1960s.
Main applications are in pharmaceutical synthesis and as ZnO precursor for the TCO layer in thin film solar cells. Our product grade specifically aimed to serve the needs of the solar cell industry is called DEZn TCO.
Zinc alkyls are also used in olefin polymerization and nuclear reactor application.
Our zinc alkyls may be supplied as neat or as hydrocarbon solutions, according to your preference. We also produce custom zinc alkyls for customer requirements.
