Perkadox L-40 RPS is a phthalate-free, low viscous, sprayable suspension of dibenzoyl peroxide (BPO). It is used as a polymerization initiator for acrylic resins and for curing unsaturated polyester and vinylester resins.
The product also finds growing use in other applications where one needs to pump or spray the BPO curing agent. Examples include polymer concrete, adhesives, roof coverings and floorings.
Features
Perkadox L-40 RPS has the following outstanding features:
- Phthalate-free and non-toxic for safe and eco-friendly handling and storage
- Stable suspension which can be stored for several weeks without separation
- Excellent chemical stability at temperatures from 0 to 40°C
- Very low viscosity over a wide ambient temperature range (0 to 40°C)
- For use in high-pressure, airless spray equipment (such as 2K 98/2 type equipment)
- No separation when used under pressure
- Easily pumpable and limited increase of thixotropy or viscosity drift during processing
- Low water content
