Trigonox T
For "self-made" crosslinked medium voltage cable compounds
Trigonox® T (tert-butyl cumyl peroxide) is a monofunctional peroxide that is used for the crosslinking of a variety of thermoplastic polyolefins and elastomers.
Liquid DCP
For “self-made” crosslinked medium voltage cable compounds Trigonox T is the product of choice. It is a very efficient, liquid organic peroxide with a melting point of 16°C. Also known as liquid DCP (dicumyl peroxide), Trigonox T is the preferred organic peroxide for “direct peroxide dosing” or “direct peroxide injection”.
Compared with DCP, which is marketed by AkzoNobel as Perkadox BC-FF, Trigonox T has a better thermal stability and resists higher processing temperatures. At equal processing temperatures Trigonox T results into better scorch resistance. At elevated cure temperatures, optimal cure time for DCP and Trigonox T are almost equal.

Excellent scorch safety
Trigonox T combines a high crosslink efficiency with excellent scorch safety.
Improved product properties
Product properties of crosslinked low density polyethylene (XL-PE, PEX, VPE) such as impact, abrasion, stress crack and chemical strength as well as dielectrical strength greatly improve upon crosslinking with Trigonox T.
