Thanks to its excellent properties AkzoNobel road salt can be spread easily, safely and efficiently.
Properties of AkzoNobel road salt
The small grains mean that the brine is quickly absorbed during wet-spreading and has an even, precise spreading pattern. Which means that the salt ends up where you want it to be: on the road not in the verge!
An additional advantage is that the salt adheres excellently to the road surface and there is likely to be less drift caused by traffic.
Our production process produces salt that is exceptionally pure. It contains no heavy metals and little sulfate. Moreover, our salt is 100% soluble, which means that it leaves no particulates behind. The only additive is anti-caking agent to ensure the sound storage and processing of the salt. There are no unnecessary adhesives or dyes!
Great results during spreading
All these great properties provide you with a product that enables you to save 10-15% salt m2 compared with coarse salt. Which is good for your budget and good for the environment.
The more economic salt consumption that you enjoy with AkzoNobel also significantly cuts the costs of your spreading action:
- You can cover 10-15% more kilometers with the same amount of salt. Which means that spreading routes can be organized more efficiently, as a result of which you need to cover fewer kilometers per spreading action or use fewer spreaders. Your depreciation, maintenance, fuel and labor costs will fall significantly.
- You can travel at normal speeds during the spreading action. This improves traffic safety. When you use AkzoNobel road salt, you do not need to travel more slowly in order to compensate for the adverse effects (bouncing and rolling) of using coarse salt. So labor costs are reduced.
- Your spreaders are used more efficiently, which will increase their service life.
- You need less storage capacity.
