Taking the 'hard' out of hard water...

In its home markets, Salt Specialties has managed to maintain a significant role in water treatment. In the water treatment segment, salt is used for regeneration of the ion exchanger in water softening installations. The efficiency of water softening installations depends on the quality of the salt used. Compacted salt has a better performance compared to regular salt in producing a brine solution that has the required properties to maximize the efficiency of the regeneration process. A good regeneration salt dissolves evenly, but never disintegrates. Salt Specialties has developed pure, high-pressure compacted regeneration salts which meet these demands.

Water treatment products include compacted coarse salt (6-15mm), tablets and blocks sold under the brand names: Broxo^®, Broxetten^® and Broxo Block^®.
