About Sulfur Derivatives

 

Sulfur Derivatives is the business unit of AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals for sulfur based products and is represented in the US (LeMoyne), Argentina (San Lorenzo), Germany (Cologne and Greiz) and China (Taixing).

Sulfur Derivatives unites two sections, Sulfur Products and Polysulfide.

Sulfur Products’ unit is manufacturing and supplying products like carbon disulfide (CS2), sodium hydrogen sulfide (NaSH), sulfuric chloride (SCL2), sulfuric acid (H2SO4) and thiocyanate (RSCN) for mainly the agricultural, chemical, textile, rubber, mining, construction, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. The Polysulfide unit is producing and supplying polysulfide (Thioplast®G) and epoxydised polysulfide®EPS) and is active in the active in the aircraft, insulation glass, coating and construction business. Sulfur is the basis for our products which are used in many applications you come across daily like sealants, food packages, fibres, floor coatings, sponges and leather.
