Almost 2,250 employees voted to choose the best Community Program projects in the 2008 Best Practices Competition.  A shortlist of 16 was compiled, with colleagues encouraged to vote for projects originating from sites other than their own.

1st Prize - ‘Clean water means healthy pupils’

The third Best Practices Competition was won by our colleagues from Decorative Paints in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam with their ‘Clean water means healthy pupils’ project, where they help install water pipes and educate children and residents how to use the new system, as well as raising awareness about the importance of clean water in 22 primary schools in 6 provinces in Central Vietnam.

2nd Prize - Quick relief aid after China earthquake

Second Prize winner was the ‘Quick relief aid after China earthquake’ project in Sichuan province from Powder Coatings in Chengdu, China.
