Performance 2008
In 2008, CO2 emissions and water use were down one percent compared to 2007. Non-reusable waste was up 3 % compared to 2007.
During 2008, we assessed all the former ICI sites against the AkzoNobel policy and standards and have contained the provisions. We now have set aside € 318 million that we believe is sufficient for the sites where AkzoNobel has ownership or responsibility.
In 2008 61 HSE & S management audits of manufacturing sites took place. They continued to show improving compliance with standards on most sites.
