Activities of Technology & Engineering repositioned

AkzoNobel has committed itself to a strategy of leadership, both in economic value and sustainability values. In order to strengthen capability, cooperation and to ensure sustainable growth, the activities of AkzoNobel Technology & Engineering have been repositioned within the company. The following changes became effective as of January 1, 2011:

• The activities of the teams Capital Projects, Process Technology, Operational Solutions, Standardization and the Materials Technology Centre are integrated in the new organization AkzoNobel Engineering & Operational Solutions (EOS).

• The teams HSE, Regulatory & Applied Life Science, Sustainability and Environmental Affairs have merged with AkzoNobel’s HSE team.
  The Eco-Efficiency team has become part of the integrated Supply Chain function. Collectively they will support the company’s medium-term strategic ambitions for accelerated and sustainable growth.

• The team Safety Testing & Modeling and Powder Technology are transferred to the business unit Functional Chemicals.
