Joint commitment by T&E and Industrial Chemicals
What was at stake?
The AkzoNobel sub-business unit Chlor-Alkali needed to expand capacity and shift chlorine production within the Netherlands to Delfzijl to avoid transporting chlorine by rail.
What we did
We used our experience of building and extending a major chlorine plant in Rotterdam to build a new plant, improving a number of existing installations, including the chlorine storage facilities.
Added value
The new plant was on stream with the desired capacity on time and within budget. We also provided assistance with commissioning and start-up.
