Conceptual and Basic Design for a Salt Production Plant

 

What was at stake?
We were asked by Industrial Chemicals Salt to provide Conceptual and Basic Design for two production plants in the Netherlands, using state-of-the-art mechanical vapor recompression technology. The plant in Hengelo is the largest unit using this technology worldwide.

What we did
We developed new technology for the customer and integrated one of the new plants (Hengelo) into an existing production environment.

Added value
We provided an advanced conceptual design, ensuring optimum energy consumption (pinch hitting). We improved the product specifications and developed a considerable body of practical know-how related to the new technology.

Facts & Figures
The plant at Hengelo is completed and the one at Delfzijl is under construction.
