A Magazine

Issue nine of AkzoNobel’s A Magazine has just been published, with the latest edition focusing on the expansive theme of cities and urban living.
Featuring a striking wrap-around cover image of a Shanghai cityscape, the new edition also marks the launch of a regular Chinese language version of A Magazine.
Inside, there are insightful features on the unstoppable rise of the megacity, the transformational power of color and what we can expect of the city of the future. There’s also a look at the global impact of pollution, along with a fascinating interview with US author Robert Neuwirth, who explains why he thinks slums could be the cities of the future.
Among page after page of stunning visuals, you should also look out for images taken by award-winning photographers Andrew McConnell and Larry Louie. The welcome message comes from the director of London’s Future Cities project, who has some outspoken views on urbanization.
A Magazine has won several awards since being launched in 2008, including a European Excellence Award, a coveted bronze ADC Cube and a SABRE Award Certificate of Excellence. It is available via a free subscription in both English and Chinese. Digital versions are also available for download.
