AkzoNobel offers Formula 1 traineeship at the Brazil Grand Prix
14 October 2011
AkzoNobel, the world's largest coatings company, is offering an incredible opportunity to Formula 1™, color and innovation lovers all around the world – the chance to apply for a one day traineeship at the Brazil Grand Prix in São Paolo. To apply to the traineeship, the company is encouraging people to upload videos explaining why they should be selected to the AkzoNobel Facebook page.
Earlier this year, AkzoNobel became a full technology partner with the McLaren Group after expanding the company's previous relationship with Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. Under the agreement, AkzoNobel's Sikkens brand supplies the sophisticated, high gloss system that is used on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes race car. This hi-tech solution is ultra-light, more aerodynamic and reduces application and curing time by half – major advantages when every gram, and every second counts.
The AkzoNobel Formula 1™ trainee will be responsible for inspecting the quality of the paint on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes' race car during the one-day job. They will also have access to the pit and receive a VIP tour of the race cars.
AkzoNobel prides itself on offering its current and future employees the chance to work in an exciting, challenging and international environment at the very highest level. The Formula 1™ Facebook competition launched online this week offers everyone the chance to be part of the world of AkzoNobel and the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1™ team during the final race of the season. The race, officially called the Formula 1 Grande Prêmio Petrobras Do Brasil 2011, takes place at the Interlogas racetrack in São Paulo, Brazil, the weekend of November 25-27.
