Our relationships with suppliers play a key role in our ability to compete successfully in the global marketplace. Our Wood Finishes & Adhesives purchasing team works closely with corporate sourcing managers and other AkzoNobel business units to take advantage of our global purchasing power to secure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials at the best prices and the highest quality.

Our suppliers must adhere to AkzoNobel’s stringent sustainability and compliance programs and conduct their business with integrity and in accordance with all regulations. As we strive to reduce our carbon footprint, we expect the same from them; they need to demonstrate regular progress toward producing and transporting their products in an increasingly eco-efficient manner.  And we work closely with suppliers to identify replacement raw materials for those that are no longer considered acceptable by today’s health, safety and environmental standards.
