The project aims to increase sustainability in the chemical field by incorporating LED lighting into the wastewater purification process.

Removal of toxic compounds from saline waste water is possible using advanced LED technology. Photocatalysis is a promising innovation that combines LED lighting in batch reactors with tailor-made photocatalysts to purify. Implementation challenges include light management, efficient simultaneous removal of multiple compounds and preventing toxic by-product formation.
