Sven Dumoulin joined AkzoNobel as General Counsel in 2010 and in that capacity is responsible for legal, compliance, intellectual property and legacy management.
He holds a PhD in law from the University of Groningen and worked as a lawyer with a large Dutch firm prior to joining Unilever in 2003, where he was appointed Group Secretary four years later. From 2003 to 2007 Sven held professorships in company law at the Universities of Groningen and Tilburg in the Netherlands.
Outside AkzoNobel, he is a member of various Legal Professional Associations in both the Netherlands and abroad. He is a Board member of the Dutch Association for Securities Law, Board member of the Dutch Association for Listed Companies (VEUO), Advisory Board member of the Dutch Arbitration Institute NAI and Member of the Governing Body of the ICC Court of International Arbitration.
