Job Context

Entry Level. Employee will learn to combine raw materials according to standard formulations, procedures, and specifications in order to supply Coating equipment with quality mixes and materials.

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

• Acquire a working knowledge of :
Raw material names
Raw material applications
Raw material locations
Coding systems
Standard mixing techniques
All mixing techniques
Safety practices
Waste handling
• Distillation equipment
• How to read and order
• How to find and follow specifications
• How to check viscosity’s
• How to prepare laboratory samples
• Check all primary equipment regularly to insure that the necessary solvents, adhesives, mixtures, etc. are in adequate supply as required and when required.
• Physically combine raw materials to produce the specified quality and quantity of “press ready” mix.
• Record and report raw materials usage correctly.
• Return any unused mix from the primary equipment, record the amount, label properly and return to stock
• Store all raw materials and containers properly and in orderly fashion.
• Maintain a safe working environment and personal safety record by adhering to good sound safety practices.
