A Formulation Development and Optimization Chemist who supports customers and sales growth with new coatings developments that meet the critical to quality performance requirements. The New Product Development team chemist within Metal Packaging provides coating solutions that will be utilized on a variety of metal packaging solutions.

Will be a member of the New Product Development Packaging Team
Will be a member of the SMU Metal
Will provide technical support to the Metal marketing and sales team
Travel is approximately 10% of the time

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- B.S in Chemistry or a related field with more than 1 year of experience a plus
- Experience in a chemistry lab and conducting performance experiments
-  Candidate must possess and works hands on within the laboratory
- Excellent verbal skills and proficient in Microsoft Office programs Design of Experiment is considered a plus
- Document control through the use of a Lab notebook is required
- Coatings formulation skills are preferred
