AkzoNobel is currently hiring for a Coating Technician in its Lancaster, SC facility.
Job Context

Entry Level. In a team environment, assist with performing all coating related duties including setting up the machine, making splices, reading and understanding job orders, specifications and the inventory system.

Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities

• Maintain an acceptable level of housekeeping (including no-work areas).
• Assist with setting up the machine.
• Make splices.
• Use ERP system (Syteline) to record and make the proper transactions to consume materials.
• Read and understand specifications and information listed on Job Operating Listing Report.
• Identify acceptable and unacceptable quality via web inspection.
• Assist in reducing waste.
• Assist in improving machine efficiencies.
• Handle raw materials in a way such that they are not damaged.
• Disassemble and clean all support equipment (pumps, hoses, filter housings, etc.).
• Assist on both the prime equipment machines (Machine# 311/Machine #314) as needed.
• Show the ability to communicate (verbal, written and listening).
• Check storage cabinets on your assigned machine and re-stock storage cabinets as needed.
• Show willingness to perform any other duties that are assigned.
• Attend Monthly safety training sessions.
• Maintain a safe work area including following all safety practices on a daily basis (able to complete daily safety checklist).

5 Years working in a manufacturing environment.
