Key Objectives/Principal Accountabilities
Commercial Excellence:
- Regional commercial excellence (CE) coordinator. Liaising with BU PC global CE manager, implementing CE initiatives and processes in the region 
- Develop, plan, create acceptance and execute CE improvement projects according to the agreed scope, in time, in budget
- Assure proper governance for CRM modules for Americas sales and marketing group, also align with BA Chemicals Sales Process blueprint
- Measure and implement training and development for sales and marketing team
- Coordinate and implement agenda for sales activity review meetings 
Marketing Communications (~30% of role)
- Responsible for the execution individual marketing communication plans and campaigns in line with the branding guidelines

- Interface with regional business management, client manager for one or more market segments

- Coordinate the design and production of regional marketing communication materials including trade fairs with third parties

- Build and maintain relations with industry media

Customer Service Management
- Responsible for strategic, operational and change management of customer service (CS) departments in the region. These departments are processing orders from customers in different parts of the region

- Assure that all Customer Service operations in the Americas are executed according to legal and internal regulations such as business principles

- AkzoNobel In Control, Corporate Directives and the strategy of AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals

- Assure that all these operations are executed in the most efficient and in a globally standardized way. Transactions/documents involved are sales orders, purchase orders, sales quotations, rebates, commissions, return orders (product and fleet related), credit and debit notes, MSDSs sent to customers etc.

- Assure all working procedures are documented and maintained and that all staff is properly trained

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Bachelor or Master degree with relevant experience
- Knowledge of sales, customer service and Order-To-Cash processes
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in marketing (communications) and some experience in a sales/account management environment
- Highly skilled in the English language
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- People management experience preferred
- Experience in project management
- Experience in working in an international setting preferred
- Computer skills (SAP, BW, MS Office, MS CRM)
- Highly organized
Polymer Chemistry is a leading business of AkzoNobel active in the polymer industry. It supplied specialty chemicals and processing aids to the whole polymer chain from polymer producers to compounders, processors and even to recycling of the polymer. Its activity is mainly split in several segments:
- Initiators and co-catalysts for polymer production
- chemical intermediates for non-polymer applications (e.g. Pharma)
- cross-linking agents and additives for the rubber industry and additives for polyolefins
- curing agents, processing aids and auxiliaries for the composite market;
