AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry –has an outstanding opportunity for a Sales Account Manager in the Household and Industrial & Institutional Cleaning division. AkzoNobel is a leading supplier of powerful, innovative surfactant and polymer technologies. We have ingredients and formulations for specialty products designed to clean every room of the house. Our Industrial & Institutional Cleaners handle big jobs from oil rigs, factories and foundries to schools and hospitals, we have the ingredients and formulations to put more muscle into your cleaning and sanitization products. We are always innovating greener options that are naturally sourced, sustainable and readily biodegradable to keep cleaning products closer to nature without sacrificing performance.

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for effective account management to increase volume, revenue and contribution margin for assigned territory.

This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the United States. 
Specific Tasks:

- Contribute to achieving business segment’s goals through pro-active account management with target customers
- Develop new prospects, define and assess market opportunities to optimize profitability
- Establish new business by identifying, documenting and following up on new opportunities
- Analyze and prioritize accounts in relation to potential value in the segmentation process
- Provide services related to customer segmentation, with the objective of increasing penetration at relevant accounts
- Provide accurate forecasting on a monthly basis in Zemeter.
- Communicate between AkzoNobel and the customers by using the IMPAX methodology
- In a timely manner enter all relevant information into the CRM system
- Act as role model for corporate values, AN business principles and Business Unit standards both inside and outside the Business Unit
- Act as a role model and drive a safe behavior both individually and for colleagues

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- BS degree, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of Sales Experience
- Knowledge of Surfactants and Polymers
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral
- Knowledge of CRM, SAP and MS Office, especially Excel
- Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Ability to travel upwards of 50% of time and work a flexible work schedule including some overnight travel
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
