AkzoNobel Inc. –has an outstanding opportunity for a Regional Talent Manager. This position will be responsible for implementing the Global Talent Management strategy and initiatives in line with business area and functional priorities. This individual will understand the needs of the local businesses and act as expert consultant to business/functional and HR leaders on Talent Management. In addition, increase Talent Management capability and expertise across the region. Also, drive a measurable increase in cross Business Unit moves and internal fill rate in the region. Furthermore, contribute to the design and development of global initiatives and frameworks by sharing expertise, knowledge and regional perspectives.
Specific Tasks:
- Embed and implement talent management process in the region in an aligned way, including change management
- Implement and deliver global Talent Management initiatives that are aligned with business area and functional needs
- Delivery of agreed KPI targets across the region
- Manage and engage key stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure alignment and commitment on the Talent Management agenda
- Build capability of HR Business Partners and People managers in the region to support them in delivering on the Talent Management agenda
- Ensure a structure that connects the different stakeholders, in collaboration with Global Talent Managers and Talent Resourcing department, to ensure the right potentials are considered for the right opportunity
- Design, develop and implement regional Talent Management initiatives aligned to the regional business needs
- Contribute to the design and development of global policies and programs by sharing expertise, knowledge and regional perspectives
- Identify development needs in the region and ensure these are rolled up into the global talent management team and Learning and Development plan

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus (Psychology, Management, Business Administration)
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience, of which minimum of 3 years in HR, Talent Management or Talent Resourcing roles
- Experience in workforce development and succession planning
- Skillful in building, managing and engaging talent pipelines
- Analytical capability, assessment capability and significant coaching experience/certification
- Working in a multinational matrix organization and having experience in a business in/outside of AkzoNobel is seen as a plus
- Proven international orientation, cultural and Diversity and Inclusion awareness
- Experience in working with and improving applicant tracking systems (preferably Taleo)
- Proven experience of managing and delivering HR projects
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables and vlookups) to forecast workforce market
- Travel upwards of 20% of the time (both domestic and international)
- Fluent in English (our business language)
