Key Objectives / Principal Accountabilities:

- Serves, along with fellow Master Black Belts, as the technical expert on the use and training of Lean Six Sigma
- Provides Lean Six Sigma expert content for the development and enhancement of the BU and Company program
- Acts as the line manager for the Black Belts in the region. Provides on-going management, support and development to Black Belt direct reports.
- Offers a clear sense of direction, motivating and empowering Black Belts to enable them to carry out their responsibilities with confidence.
- Builds teamwork through engagement. Aligns team members by sharing information, tying their work and goals to the BU and Company vision and values.
- Provides on-going coaching and support to the Black Belts in learning and using the Lean Six Sigma methodology in their projects and activities in BU ESD.
- Delivers initial training to the Black Belts, Brown Belts, Green Belts and, as needed, throughout the organization.
- Acts as a coach and on-going teacher to the Brown Belts, Green Belts, managers and, as needed, in the organization.
- Develops tools and models that will enable BU ESD to learn and continuously improve knowledge, engagement and use of L6S in daily activities
- Assists in the development and deployment of the Lean Six Sigma (L6S) program and helps provide visibility of the program across BU ESD
- Responsible for driving for the successful delivery of the benefits and the completion of Black Belt projects . L6S projects vary in size but typically will be six to nine months in length with an average benefit in excess of €400k.

- Provides support and advice on project charters and helps to define the specific scope for new projects.
- Serves as the program support leader for all Black Belts and Business Managers, which may require frequent travel, sometimes internationally
- Conducts (minimally) once a week coaching with each Black Belt to confirm project progress and ensure Black Belt development
- Improves training materials as needed and reviews annually to determine if revisions are required
- Develops and delivers on-going training for the Black Belts
- Guides the Black Belts to certification and assists the Black Belts in doing the same for the Brown Belts and Green Belts
- Provides support as required in the selection of new Black Belts
- As required, provides assistance to other BUs in training their Black Belts
- Develops and delivers training and workshops to BU management and key teams as required.
- Conducts Lean Six Sigma content based workshops and site audits as required to help sites improve their performance.
- Leads complex, high-priority improvement projects, as directed by the Program Manager, to provide the right level of leadership on critical projects and initiatives
- Offers insight to the Program Manager on aligning Black Belts to new projects
- Works closely with the Program Operations Manager to ensure alignment in the Program Management Office (PMO)
- Participates in monthly PMO meetings and initiatives to identify gaps and to strengthen the L6S program
- Supports the communications effort around L6S by writing articles periodically, speaking and/or attending conferences (internal and/or external) and offering assistance to other BUs
- Able to communicate, effectively support and promote L6S to people at all levels, in all environments.
- Demonstrates the continuous improvement of his/her own skills and knowledge
- Provides on-going support to the Program Manager to help grow and sustain the program.
- Challenges the BU to continuously improve the L6S program.

Requirements for Job (education or experience required to be able to perform this job):

- Bachelors degree minimum, Masters degree preferred. Degrees related to technical, business, economics and finance fields are most appropriate
- Certified Master Black Belt. Three years Black Belt experience and three years Master Black Belt experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge and expert use in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels
- Skilled and experienced in managing change programs
- Extensive experience in training and coaching; a ble to impart knowledge to others
- Team management skills and the capability to work effectively in international teams
- Passion for innovation, change and continuous improvement
- Proven ability to plan and prioritize work
- Experienced project manager
- Demonstrated high performance levels and ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Fluent in English and Chinese, both verbal and written
