This position reports to the Demand/Supply Manager and is responsible for the production schedules for assigned processes and products to meet customer requirements.

• Plans and establishes the production schedules for assigned process areas and associated products.
• Monitors material inventories including finished goods, raw materials, and packaging for assigned processes.
• Tracks progress of production and updates schedules as necessary. Communicates schedules to plant personnel and tracks factors which affect production.
• Works closely with production supervision and plant personnel to ensure product is produced and packaged to meet customer requirements.
• Interfaces with customer services representatives, sales and marketing personnel, and other AkzoNobel personnel (on-site and off-site) concerning product availability.
• Creates process orders, initiates purchase requisitions, and runs MRP periodically during the day.
• Prepares various production and inventory reports as required.
• Participates in various Site management teams and projects.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management and at least 2 year of equivalent work experience or at least 5-7 years equivalent work experience in manufacturing environment (production scheduling and/or inventory control).
• Strong ERP (SAP preferred) and MRP experience.
• Chemical industry experience a plus.
• Customer focus, detail oriented
• Exceptional analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications
