AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry –has an outstanding opportunity for an Account Manager, Organoclays & Intermediates. AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry offers a wide range of products; we are the world’s leading supplier of fatty amines; we have an extensive portfolio of fatty amine intermediates, polymers, and surfactants. AkzoNobel continues to invest substantially in a broad range of services that support these ingredients with top technical support.

This is a remote position.
Specific Tasks:
- Responsible for key and developmental customers in US and key account responsibilities
- Selling, maintaining and expanding position at existing accounts, meeting aggressive growth targets
- Prospecting, locating and developing new customers, meeting aggressive growth targets
- Targeting and allocating time among prospects and customers
- Communicating and providing information about the company’s products and services
- Servicing, consulting and providing technical support
- Information gathering, identify new customers, new products, and new applications, conduct market research and intelligence work, including competitors
- Organization, maintain Call Plans, Key Account Plans and New Business Opportunities
- Follow up and resolve customer accounts receivable issues
- Accurate forecasting entered in SAP Arkieva and communicated to Demand Planning
- Keep CRM account profiles and contacts current
- Write timely contact reports on all customer meetings involving substantial or new information
- Receive and interpret customer complaints. Assist in its investigation, resolution and response

Job requirements/Candidate profile

- Education: BA or BS degree, preferably in Chemistry, Engineering or Life Sciences
- Minimum of 10 years sales experience
- Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Above average interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of CRM, SAP and MS Office, especially Excel
- Requires a valid driver’s license and approximately 50% overnight travel
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
