AkzoNobel Performance Coatings has an outstanding opportunity for an Account Manager in our Vehicles Refinishes division.


This is a remote position with the ideal candidate being based out of Ft. Lauderdale or Miami.

Key Objectives of the Job:
As the Account Manager you will be responsible for servicing Distributors and Customers by assisting them in reaching their business goals as well as growing sales in your territory and assisting other territories as needed.


Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of customers in the South Florida area to execute sales plan.
• Achieve assigned territory budget and business plan by maintaining current accounts and selling new accounts.
• Have a professional understanding of the features and benefits of all products and services and able to communicate them to customers and prospects.
• Evaluate customer needs & goals by utilizing a Mutual Action Plan on an annual basis.
• Coordinate the involvement of Technical, Services, and Strategic Sales to support the Mutual Action Plans of customers.
• Educate and develop distributors' staff and customers on the proper and effective use of AkzoNobel products.
• Continually develop multiple relationships with customers and promote development of other AkzoNobel staff relationships with customers.
• Manage expense budgets, company assets & equipment to maximize the use of company resources.
• Complete all training and reports on a timely basis.
• Adhere to all AkzoNobel health and safety policies at all times in daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

• High school diploma with equivalent work experience or bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in coatings application, collision or auto body shop experience preferably in Sales or Technical job function.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.
• Prior experience meeting and/or exceeding sales goals.
• Strong communications skills; oral/written, presentations, public speaking and one to one negotiations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, driven, self-starter and able to work independently.
• Able to travel approximately 30% of the time.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
