The Quality Specialist for Quality Assurance (QA) ensures that company standards are maintained and product integrity is preserved.  The Specialist functions to resolve quality complaint investigations, the coordination of root cause investigations and the analysis and KPI management for continuous improvement.  The role is part of the Quality organization for the production facility and interacts with internal departments and external stakeholders in all quality improvement efforts.
Participate and contribute in the site Health & Safety programs as required (SAFE Meetings, BBS Observer, HS&E Training, Housekeeping, 5S, etc.)
Serve as site customer complaints focal point with each of the 3 Sales and Marketing Units (SMU’s) as part of the Global Customer Complaints Work Process and manage complaint responses in the complaints tool.
Lead the proactively resolution of quality matters as part of the normal operating review meetings and for significant unplanned events, lead the Root Cause Investigation (RCI) and Corrective and Preventative Action Response (CPAR) processes for internal and external complaints and non-conformances.
Educate and instruct plant personnel in the required ISO quality control practices and procedures. Confirm these procedures are being maintained in the Quality Management System (QMS).
Prepare quality performance evaluation reports for use in routine quality review meetings and reviews with each business unit

- 2 or 4-Year Degree in Chemistry, or equivalent in technically related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in field, laboratory, or production facility quality control
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite(Word, Excel , Outlook, Powerpoint, Access)
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Organizational & communication skills
- Customer Service skills
- Critical and logical thinking skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- Knowledge of advanced mathematics
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Must have knowledge and experience in ISO9001 requirements
- Executed internal audit programs
