Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc. has an opening for a Sales Account Manager with a Market focus on Domestic Appliances.
Primary responsibility will be to service current customers and grow our share of the Domestic Appliance pre-paint market calling on Steel Service Center focused on Domestic Appliances and Original Equipment Manufacture’s (OEM’s) associated with this segment.  The candidate must be willing to travel with overnight stays as a routine throughout the week; up to 70% travel.
Job Qualifications
- The candidate we are seeking must be self-motivated, self-starting, and disciplined with experience managing his/her own business, schedules, and commitments.  The ability to set-up weekly / monthly itineraries and make high level cold calls is required.
- He/she must be able to develop, shape and execute an effective growth strategy focused on the Prepaint Domestic Appliance market within North America.
- He/she must effectively engage with customers on multiple levels within an organization and must possess excellent communications skills
- A working knowledge of the coil coating process including metal substrates, metal cleaning, preparation and application of coil coating products is required. 
- Knowledge of the Domestic Appliance fabrication process is preferred.
- The candidate must be able to work well with lab personnel, customer service, and supply chain to ensure a positive customer experience.
- The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and be able to give effective sales presentations.
- The applicant will live within the Northern Region of the U.S.  Further, the applicant must have a clean driving record.
