Responsibility

Develop and deploy Regional Marketing plan
- Works closely together with Segment Manager(s) to ensure translation of Segment strategy into operational action planning.
- Formulates Regional marketing plans and tactics, which includes introducing, repositioning but also sometimes pulling out products, services and brands in countries.
- Translates SMU vision, policies, market research and customer specifications into detailed Region strategies, actions, targets and budgets and keeps up to date as continuous process.
- Translates defined portfolio in regional offer and range management with annual complexity reduction process. Works with regional sales and leadership to ensure product range meets customer needs and supports the implementation of the agreed product portfolio.
 
Drive understanding of the Market in the region
- With support of the Market Intelligence Analyst gets in depth understanding of needs within the Region through market research and implements needs based segmentation model.
- Translates needs into clear value propositions and develops these propositions in close cooperation with SMU Marketing organization.
 
Coordinates the company Brand architecture in the region
- Contribute to the updating of the global brand architecture
- Execution of brand tactics into the market. Deciding which brands are used and the brand positioning in the region, aligning to brand strategy.
 
Management of Product lifecycle
- Key stakeholder in product maintenance and cost engineering programs in cooperation with the segment Manager and related produt managers
- Validates propositions by means of business cases.
- Owns the customer warranty process
- Key contacts to key industry specifiers which headquarters is in the region
 
Product Margin management
- Input to pricing architecture, works with marketing to develop pricing frameworks for the region and executes regional tactical pricing with regard to competitive landscape.
- Owns the deployment of the regional Product Margin management process across the region
 
Integrated Business planning(IBP)
- Represents the  Marketing function within  the regional integrated business planning process cycle
- Uses demand forecasting information for product and contingency planning
Others
- Develops, executes and monitors key performance indicators for regional marketing team.
- Stimulates benchmarking and internal best practice sharing in the marketing community.
- Acts as senior Marketing Leader and focuses on the Regional Marketing organization.
- Tools: AN Performance tracker (Wave) for the regional MC Mandates   is updated ; Metal Coatings Dashboard input and consolidation for the region ; Innovation StageGate, CRM
- Capable of analyzing complex set of data
- Define and drive action plans across the region with the regional marketing team and the commercial teams
- Reports on progress on a continuous base.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Skills & Education required
Education
- University Degree / Graduate Bachelor's degree in sciences ideally in the chemical field.
- Further education (Masters, MBA) is an advantage but not mandatory
 
Skills/Experience
- Solid background in Marketing
- Hands on experience in the chemical industry
- 5 to 10 years working experience and least 3 years in a similar role
- Proven project management experience
- Proven experience either in an international company or in a real international role
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel and Powerpoint and working with and understanding analytical tools
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary programs and teams, end-to-end from through to implementation and delivering results
Personal Profile
- Great self-motivator
- Must be a good networker with good people skills
- Essential to have good communication skills
- Willingness and interest to travel
