Technologist II

You have a relevant science degree or a coatings industry professional qualification coupled with experience of working in a coatings laboratory. Now you are ready to step up a level and develop your career in a company that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. That business is AkzoNobel. We’re now looking for two Technologist II's to join our Fire & Insulation Coatings operation in Felling to work in either product development or product support roles.
Join us and you could find yourself involved in new product development activities or testing and supporting existing products. Whatever area you work in you will ensure business growth targets are achieved by planning and managing key work programmes. This will include designing and carrying out experiments, evaluating
and interpreting results as well as reporting findings to stakeholders. Your remit will cover projects such as product testing, test method development, factory scale-up and field and application testing. Important too will be the ability to operate at the highest quality and safety levels.
As you would expect, the standard of experimental work and technological development is high, so you must have a degree in a relevant discipline such as Chemistry, or a coatings industry qualification. This must be backed by extensive experience of working in a coatings laboratory. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a project team as well as independently too. An effective communicator you are comfortable managing a broad range of tasks and are the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
