Specific Tasks:
·         Delivers the financial and service (incl. quality) and HSE targets regarding warehousing activities.
·         Develops and implements projects innovating the site logistics processes (increase service, decrease costs, with a focus on warehousing)
·         Designs and develops management information reports for cost information, savings, productivity and customer claims.  Analyzes reports and takes action as required.
·         Manages 3rd party logistics services covering the provisions of warehousing
·         Implements controls necessary to keep expenditures within budgetary limitations
·         Accounts for proper allocation of man hours
·         Communicates targets and continuously measures and communicates status against these targets
·         Ensures all site safety rules are strictly followed so that no injuries occur
·         Is familiar and complies with all applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures with regard to personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

·         High School diploma required.
·         Satisfactory work record is required.
·         2-4 years of experience in Production/Inventory Control preferred
·         BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration
·         Bachelor’s degree preferred.
·         A minimum of five (5) years in Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or Purchasing required.
·         Proficient in business computer applications (Microsoft Office).
·         SAP experience a strong plus.
·         Full understanding of products manufactured in Nashville and their flow through the manufacturing process.
·         Strong supervisory/leadership skills
·         Excellent working knowledge of SAP, MS Word, MS Excel, and Access.
·         Good organizational and planning skills
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·         Excellent math skills
·         Must be self-motivated and perform with little or no supervision.
·         Must have good judgment in reporting errors or unusual conditions or events to the Plant Manager.
·         Must be capable of making independent decisions and judgments based on process experience and chemical knowledge
·         Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations
·         Requires a high level of independent and proactive performance, creative problem solving, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
·         Demonstrates strong customer orientation – understands customer need and demonstrates
