Of graduate calibre you are commercially astute and have experience gained in category management role. Now you are looking for an opportunity to work in a business that will encourage your input, welcome your ideas and act on them. Look no further than AkzoNobel. Home to world class products including the Dulux Super Brand, we’re now looking for a Category Development Manager to develop category leadership relationships with customers for our Interiors product range.
As Category Development Manager you will focus on delivering enhanced sales and profits for AkzoNobel and our customers. We will look to you to utilise category and shopper insights, translating existing category strategy and drivers into actionable category point of purchase plans covering. You will take responsibility for range optimisation, space and layout principles, strategies and plans, as well as category promotional activities. You will work closely with Category Insights Managers to ensure customer category insights are utilised in planning as well as with Customer Business Directors to ensure customer strategies are central to commercial plans. In short you will deliver high quality category solutions that deliver the maximum return for customers and the business.

Job requirements/Candidate profile

Your experience in category management means you can demonstrate excellent commercial planning skills. You will have the ability to draw relevant insights and conclusions from analysis and identifying commercial opportunities and threats that exist for a business at both a strategic and at a tactical level. Highly analytical, you will be used to cross functional working in commercial teams and expert at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. An effective communicator you will be good at solving problems and have an understanding of key business software. You will also be the sort of person who is passionate about excellence and delivers on commitments.
